Ok so I have a few 306's

I managed to crash the group A one into a tree, so its in rebuild phase....I am telling myself It needed a freshen up anyway, just so I fell better....Big grin

So being without a race car was in tolerable. So I built a 4 week budget special!

Cheap car off the internet inc Konis, 2" exhaust, cams and few nice little bits.

Stripped for lightness

Add a bolt in cage (similar to a UK spec bolt in)

Some fancy stickers - creative vinyl and yes it was painted with a spray can....!!!

Blanked the sunroof of with a alloy sheet.

Add a 3J LSD

Seats and Belts....

And you get a basic race car for 1500 quid

Not bad I say

Change the wheels to something sporty looking, and that would be superb!

If it has a gti6 engine in it 2" is a bit small? Standard diameter is 2.25".

Looking at it I'd say it's a xu10j4 engine not the remodelled Rs with the nice alloy inlet and plenum

Ah yes, it is 2 1/4 inch exhaust, engine is a std S16 with a K&N filter, Stage 1 Cam and has had a rebuild at some stage prior to me getting it. It was bought off the net.

Runs the 5 speed box.

The wheels came with it, getting aftermarket stuff here is expensive so given it was always a budget build they are fine. I do have a set of 17" wheels that I am chasing the 20mm spacers for that I may use.

It's easy to keep spending, at this stage only a higher spring rate, better brake pads and a better tyre is planned whilst I get the other car finished.
