Guys,

I own a 99 306 GTi-6 and Always heard the Rallye has a shorter final drive (4,05).

I checked on the Service Box and there is no information regarding the Rallye version but regarding the OPR (from 7430 on, 4,05).

Watching vídeos I could see phase 3 306 GTi reaching lower speeds per gear.

Really want the shorter final drive but wanted to confirm here before importing a complete gearbox to Brazil.

Any clues?

Thanks.

rallye does not specifically have a shorter fd than a gti6 of the same age, there was a 3.95 used before 01/06/1997 (i.e phase1 and early phase2) plus earlier cars had a 7450 rpm limit instead of 7250.

after 01/06/1997 a 4.05 was used.
