I'm going to get my S16 out of the garage after a 3 year sleep.
Want to do a few bits, oil change, clutch cable and cambelt etc.
Just need to know how much of it is the same as Gti6 like cambelt etc?
Also would be nice to know whos good to ask any future questions rather than bog down your forum with threads filled with my lower class s**tbox.
TIA. Rob

I had an s16 for 8 years and was my pride and joy until someone wrote it off in May last year. I thought the cambelt was the same as the gti- 136 tooth, same water pump, same tensioners, pretty sure it was when I had it changed. They are basically the same as a gti in "most" departments apart from engine.
Edit...it has 134 tooth belt,

Looks nice mate, my first quick 306 after a string of diesels was a Sigma blue S16 with a GTI-6 engine conversion was minty mc mint never should have sold it.... Did the clutch and heater matrix etc. I'm partial to a black car and my current blak 6 of 7 years came up silly cheap so I sold the S16 and bought the 6...

No idea what happened to it and if you type the reg in on DVLA it says it's not recognised so it obviously had a plate change after my ownership.

Might as well try the dealers. I'd speak to ed or steve at warners Peugeot in Tewkesbury and say I sent you off this forum - 01684 297575.
Get a water pump too. May only be £10 more than your local factor but at least you know the pump is original quality. Think it worked out at £12 more for the last gti kit I bought, all discounted as I'm trade
