I have been building these bits up for a while now (since Xmas) and going to attempt to fit it all tomorrow apart from the shocks. I'm having trouble trying to find the right dust covers for the shocks and i'm not sure if the OE part number 5254 13 would fit.

Can't wait to have it all on though, also have some new Bilstein rear dampers to go on.

Did all of this suspension work plus new wheel bearings and track rods but with KW V1 Innox fronts and matching shocks last Autumn. Used all new nuts and bolts from Pug too. The difference was very noticeable and made all the hard work well worth while.

Mine was done over three days though. Half a day to take it all apart and drop the hubs off at my local transmission specialist, a full day waiting for him to phone me saying the wheel bearings were successfully fitted then half a day to put back together.

Still to fit my BBM top engine mount and buffer, that will happen when I hopefully visit Daveyboy later this month to get my top mount welded and chocked as it is definitely FUBAR.

Good luck and keep us informed of the improvements please bud

Well I got it all done, the only awkward bit was getting the track rod end out of the drivers side so had to get the blow torch on it and she eventually came out. Now I have to get the tracking re-done but don't want to until I get the struts on.

Don't you hate getting under a car and looking about and realising that "things need doing" Where someone has lowered the arse out of my car in its previous life, the subframe ect is scratched to f**k. It really annoys me that some knob thought it would be a good idea to make the car so low you can't drive over anything without it scrapping on something underneath. I've looked at the jacking points and it looks like someone has just tried lifting it up with a forklift or something- it's a state! I am in the process of getting it back to a "nice ride" like my old s16 used to be before someone wrote it off last May.

This is a spax psx kit that I have refurbed because all the paint was flaking off and looked a mess. I have used new nuts, bolts and washers from pug too. To be honest I might buy some hubs and get new bearings ect put in them for peace of mind. Didn't get round to fitting the engine mounts but will do it tomorrow along with a gearbox oil change......the list goes on.

I have to say it's a much nicer drive with all new rubber bits around the front end, feels alot more solid through the wheel. My wishbone p bush's were shagged and the ball joints had more play in them then a granny's muff, you could almost blow them around with your mouth.

Does anyone know where I can buy a magic wand?

Im in the middle of prepping my suspension for an overhaul. I have a 4 day window to get mine done but my overhaul includes engine, gearbox, rear beam, full suspension setup to change lol. I have bought new nuts and bolts from pug where possible but my dealer says lots of the nuts and bolts are only available in quantities of 10/20/30 and even 100! Also they wont keep any items on the shelf so i have to take the full quantity if i want them. I work in the trade so ive sourced alot of my bolts from local fastners and also my place of work Wink looking forward to getting mine done

I know what you mean about the nuts and bolts from pug/citreon. I ended up with a bag of nuts and washers when I only needed 2 of each.

I done the rear dampers and thank god I did because the rubbers where pretty shot and the dampers themselves had no rebound on them. I then put some new rear grooved and dimpled disks on as I've had them sat in a box for about a year, put new stainless screws that hold the disk on to the hub and copper greased it all up. Done the gearbox mount which took about 15 mins but not the gearbox oil as it started to rain.

I think my next big job is going to be the body work as it's got a few dings and a bit of lacquer peel on the roof. There's always something to do on these motors.....
