Bought myself a set of rich w roller wishbone bushes that need fresh bearings fitting. I was wondering what the bolts are for that stick out of the p bush housing? They have washeres underneath them? Also has anyone who has done a bush replacement before got any tips or is it straight forward to do? |

If its the one on top of the bearing thats where you bolt it through the subframe and the big one goes through the subframe and ARB bracket________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

I have started doing bits and pieces like ive had the diff out and replaced bearings and seals and painted the box. Ive stripped down a pair of hubs i bought and painted them and put new bearings in etc. Im taking pics as i go and i plan on doing all the work on the actual car in a 4 day window. Once its complete i will put up a full thread for those who are interested with as many pics as i can take |

I could probably do with replacing my richw's too - i.e. the innards, is it only Rich directly that provides these? |

With regards to changing the bearings, take them out, measure them up and go to a supplier and buy them. It'll be pretty cheap. I also don't understand the need for open bearings and greasing them. It just allows road grime to get in. Why don't people replace with ZZ steel covered or RS rubber sealed bearings?________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

With hindsight maybe that would of been the way forward but i have already bought the replacements from Rich now so i may take the new ones to a supplier and see if they offer a similar item with more protection as you say |

I would. From what I've seen there is no s**t guard and road s**t just builds up in the grease.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |
