Are you sure it's cracking not casting marks? You get them all over the inside of the box. Often see them inside the bell housing and you think oh f**k the box is cracked but look closer or rub it down with something and it's just casting marks. ________________________________________ Black power baby! probaqbly just poor casting finish, I wouldnt worry about it unless its actually leaking.they are line bored anyway so you can't swap them about. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Currently waiting on a diff and wondering about the shim etc but presume if there's one in there then refit all as it came apart and that's that. ________________________________________ Black power baby! Will see sooner or later if mine has one. Mines a very early phase 2 got 145k on the box and it's never been apart so will be built to factory spec ________________________________________ Black power baby! Did some searching online and perhaps this is the reason both me and Pete had no shim fitted in our riffshttp://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/peugeot-forum/94002-diff-input-shaft-pre-loads-ignored-why.html I don't no if this is actually a hyperlink but if not copy and paste into google |

Mine definately didnt have one fitted pete. Looking at the link ive put on it must only be the most earliest of be3 boxes that had them. No shim came out so no shim will go in. I assume you have covered enough mileage in yours to know that all is well yea? |
