Found this whilst stripping the underside of the Rallye.

Clearly been jacked in the wrong place. Split the seam wide open. I reckon that's going to need cutting out and replacing. This is just to the side of the drivers side front jacking point. Thoughts?

Might be able to straighten that to what it should look like with hammers and then get it welded up

Yes definatly looks worse from that angle!
Still might be able to repair it and get it to look untouched without cutting anything out.

It's properly not pretty.

Need to have the side skirt off for a proper look but I fear the worst.....the fact it's rusty inside the split bothers me no ends

Great work though, keep the project going as one day i will be doing something similar to my rallye and the pics will be uber useful Thumbs up

God knows what people did without the internet and camera phones?! Shock
