Hi guys,
I'm relatively new to the forum, and would love some Input from all you experienced 6 owners :-)
I've had my track 6 now for nearly a year, been to the Nurburgring in it, Oulton Park a few times and looking to do a lot more this year.
Did a track day at Oulton today, and as my confidence has grown in the car, the brakes are starting to let me down.
I'm just after a few opinions on front brake setups, decent disc and pad combos, or upgrade calipers etc.
Much appreciated!!

Forgot to mention, I'm running 15'x8.25' ET0 wheels and don't really want to go up to 16's due to tyre pricing :-)

Mintex 1155 pads and brembo discs would be your first step.

If you are wanting more there's bags of 4 pots available. I run KAD 6 pots on my 205

Standard replacement brembo discs? I had a set of drilled and grooved discs on with mintex pads of some sort and absolutely destroyed them today :-/
They were an ebay special though, so probably weren't up to much..

Yeah brembo standards. After market discs are crap usually.

Looks like I have a plan then!
Would you rate the Mintex 1155's over Ferodo DS2500's?
I've toyed with the idea of the 406 Brembo route, with the brembo citroen C5 discs, but cost is also a factor and most people want £200 upwards for the calipers..

Keep your eyes open. You can pick some up for around the £150 mark.

Forget 406 brembo calipers. As mentioned go for brembo plain disc and some hot pads, m1155s are good for the money and don't destroy discs as bad as some of the more expensive pads do, not knocking them mind.
Change the fluid too, 5.1 if you're on a budget or get some AP stuff or similar if you can afford.
Beyond this I'd be looking at AP calipers.

Don't mean to thread steal but are these 1155 pads too track orientated to use on a daily?

No not at all. If it's more road orientated m1144s may better but they don't stand heat anywhere near as well as the 55s in my experience.

I think I'll get the brembo discs and 1155's ordered this week and see how I get on :-)
I'm running 5.1 already but apparently the ATE super blue is supposed to be pretty good, and I think hel braided lines are probably a good idea too..
Cheers for the input guys!

I've got pagid 5.1 in at the moment, which has been great and only gives a little pedal drop after warm up lap, but I think standard rubber hoses are going like balloons :-)

I use Millers RB300 Plus brake fluid. It's expensive but I feel it's well worth the extra cost. Very high dry and wet boiling points, typically over 310/194. Plus it's hygroscopic.

Had brake fade but never had any increase in pedal travel or decrease in pedal pressure with it. It's all I will use now

Well here is the end result of buying an eBay special deal for 4 discs and pads..
They did Oulton Park in July last year, 20 laps of the Nordschleife and an Hour on the Nurburgring GP Strecke.
When I checked them Friday night, they were less than 1/2 worn and the discs were as smooth as mirrors..
An afternoon session at Oulton Park and they looked like this....
