Because of their silly rules about having 100 posts to either post in for sale or PM people, I can't get hold of him to ask about the exhaust he's got for sale......Cheers ________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye .... I can contact him on your behalf on there if needs be (as I have sufficient posts!) ?If it is the Powerflow backbox you are on about though, then I believe this has already gone according to when I last looked on the forum? |

Silly rules to reach 100 posts yet you paid £5 to someones pocket who never maintains their forum to post here? Quite ironic reallyYou can pm Chris on there or could PM him on here seeing as he was on here (although his account has probably expired and he wont be able to reply...) |

You can PM people on there if you Havnt reached the bulks**t post count as I've had people do that to me when is been advertising stuff before as they can't say they want it. I think you should be able to post responses on other people's items but not start your own new thread to sell stuff straight away maybe. But what do I know . I'm not a massive fan of the OC site to be honest. I find a lot of them to be arrogant trolling know it alls with nothing else to do all day than cause s**t and rave about XUD engines and Bosch pumps. However it's considerably busier than this place and not everyone's all bad over there ehh Niall ________________________________________ Black power baby! The post limit is there because we had a spate of people signing up with about 1 or 2 posts and selling stuff that didn't exist. You could say this is the problem of the buyer and id agree with you. Usually its a case of if its too good to be true, it is but issue is, no matter how often you tell people that sales are not protected by the forum, they still blame you when it goes tits up! Its basically a way of helping to weed out spam and scum much like the £5 membership on here.Ill take your idea...we have a few people who have alternative ideas to the 100 post count and will review it if theres enough interest. You're right, there is a few trolls on there and tbh i'm sick of them but then you could say the same about this forum and most of them. Its incredibly unwelcoming here unless you're thick skinned enough to get through the s**t. On the plus side, there is also a lot of friendly people on here and helpful people...just like OC But then i would say that, its my forum lol Thing you need to remember is, this forum is aimed at a VERY closed market. GTis and Rallyes were only a tiny proportion of the total 306s sold so of course you're going to get diesel lovers over there..but then there is also a lot of petrol lovers me included! |

Niall,I take your points on board and do see your point. I also really don't care about paying £5 if it gets me access to the parts I need which someone might be selling I do understand why you'd set the limits but find it frustrating that as a genuine buyer, I cannot buy what I'm after and in turn, you limit the selling potential of the guys selling. I fully understand, being a mod on another busy forum, the need to keep out the spammers but how about allowing new members to post replies on for sale threads? Trolls wouldn't be able to start threads but genuine buyers would be able to post on a thread and come to an agreement in full view, not via PM etc. Just a thought ________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye .... Trolls wouldn't be able to start threads but genuine buyers would be able to post on a thread and come to an agreement in full view, not via PM etc. Just a thought I do genuinely see your point. In an ideal world, there would be no limits as 99% of people are genuine and wont ever cause any troubles. Its just that 1% that ruin it for everyone else. Like i say, you guys aren't the only ones to comment so it is being reviewed. Its not just my decision unfortunately but we do try and take things on board. End of the day, theres no point in having a forum most of the members dont like and dont have a say in because then it will fail Edit: Forgot to make a point. I wont be adding a charge to the forum to access that area or any of it. We've always said from day one it will be free and advertless and its staying that way. It does mean there are select few limitations in place to new members but it means the majority of members get a clean, free to use forum. Plus if people are paying for a service, they expect it to be what they want and get s**tty if they dont get what they want which we cant deliver to everyone. No car forum can! |

Hence why the mos active member on here is the resident tumbleweed ________________________________________ Black power baby! As I've said on the oc forum I agree with the 100 post rule when it comes to selling but you can't even post to buy something and that is bull. My money my risk so should be my choice if i want to post a reply in the for sale section |
