My car has done less than 5000 miles since all this was done and I'm getting the clunk from both sides that sounds like the top mounts again.
Is there anything I can do other than replace them?

I had my suspension entirely replaced 2 years ago with brand new Bilsteins, Eibachs, roller bearings, OE top mounts and bearings etc.My car has done less than 5000 miles since all this was done and I'm getting the clunk from both sides that sounds like the top mounts again. Is there anything I can do other than replace them? |

Sounds silly but are the top strut bolts tight? Mine started to knock a few hundred miles after my suspension over haul and those 3 bolts had just worked loose a little. |

I thought clunks were expected with these set ups from coil contact? Least that's what I remember reading somewhere?? There was a link I think that went across to clio owners that discussed this? I may be talking utter drivle mind lol |

Good chance it is the mounts then, just change the bearings and cups, I packed mine with grease when I did them, wether that's good or bad and gives them more chance of getting full of dirt I don't know but I did it.________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |
