For sale, my Peugeot 306 GTI-6 currently just under 83k miles. I have owned this car for around 20 months, and it has never let me down. Since I have owned it I have replaced the front bushes and balljoints, catalytic converter and centre exhaust section. Other than that, it has only needed normal servicing (recent oil and oil filter, fuel filter, plugs and air filter clean). Plenty of receipts to support work (see picture)The car today failed its MOT, hence the price. The previous MOT runs until Feb 8th 2015. It is taxed, but that is not transferrable anymore. Reasons for MOT failure:
1 - Offside rear trailing arm has excessive play in a pin/bearing [2.4.G.2]
2 - Nearside rear brake pad(s) less than 1.5mm thick [3.5.1g]
3 - Service brake: efficiency below requirements [3.7.B.7]
4 - Parking brake: efficiency below requirements [3.7.B.7]
Speaking to the tester, what it needs is a new rear beam (or rear beam bearings), the rear pads replaced and callipers greased. There were no advisories.
I am about to change role that will mean doing around 25k per year, and this car is realistically the wrong tool for the job. I am therefore offering it up for sale as-is rather than repairing it.
The car has been lowered somewhere in the region of 40mm, so feels direct. It also has a K&N filter located near the wheelarch, which makes a nice noise. The car has a rolling road printout from the previous owner showing healthy power (158.8bhp) and was 4 wheel aligned after I carried out the suspension work.
The clutch and 6 speed gearbox work without issue.
All four wheels are in great condition and have good tyres. The rears are Toyo T1Rs (good tread) and the fronts Michelin Pilotsport 3s (only around 4000 miles old).
All seats are in good condition, with only very minor bolster wear to drivers seat (see picture). Rear headrests are included, but not shown in pictures.
The car comes with electric windows and mirrors as well as automatic wipers and the electrics work as they should. The central locking also works by both key and fob.
Only one key is included, but I do have two fobs. Both fobs open the car remotely.
The car was classed category C in March 2007, but underwent a VIC check before being put back on the road. I can provide the vehicle check I carried out before I bought the car if needed.
Slight paint flaking to offside front wing (see picture) and rear wiper arm is a little rusty. The '6' from the rear badge is also missing.
