can i get one that opens hotter??
currently half of my rad is tapped up just so i can get to 90 degrees

normally she regulates perfectly but atm im struggling to get decent temp. ive only got 1 fan but its huge. tbh it raley comes on unless its at track n theres a wait. ________________________________________ |

Have you checked that the stat isn't stuck open? |

As far as I know you can't get different stats, too be fair its a lot colder at the mo but the car should still get up to temp especially with your setup and a thick intercooler restricting the air flow to the rad! As you have metal water pipes try putting some pipe lagging on them to minimize heat loss from them |

To be honest i dont know the exact amount that is meant to go in but i brought the halfords ready mixed stuff at £20 for 5 liters and wacked it all in with a bit of water. I had to do a matrix on mine and it gets up to temp lovley now. How many liters goes into the coolant anyway?? I think its about 6/7 liters, could be way wrong? |

Im wrong there then..... i didn't pay much attention to how much went in as i was more worried about getting the bleeding right with no air locks. As for your thermo im not sure mate, as long as its working sounds good to me- maybe because you have no matrix?? also as mentioned it could be the cold day temps but it should still get up to temp regardless if just sitting there, maybe not so much if your moving along. How are you reading the temp- from the dash gauge or some other tool? |
