My drivers side wing mirror was missing the small plastic hatch on the underside so got another wing mirror thinking I could swap the hatch over but it doesn't seem to fit its a t reg gti 6 was there different wing mirrors depending on age ? Only difference I can see is the replacement I got has a line of black dots down the side and the one on my car has a temp sensor in it which is also on the passenger side any help on this would be a big help thanks

I'm not the expert mate but I'm 90% sure all phase 2/3 wing mirrors are the same baring the all plastic ones that came on PoV spec models.

Not sure but I bought a nine genuine wing mirror for my mondeo thinking id swap over the plastic colour coded cover but i had the same issues, the holes to attach it was completely different
