How many of you guys have used lightweight heaters and how do they get on vs standard? I'm stripping the Rallye and not going to have a standard dash or clocks? I do have a heater matrix bypass pipe but I'd like to be able to demist and get some warmth if I can? Any recommendations ideas cheers

I, like many other, have used the T7 mini heater. Plumbs in to the water etc. they are very good and are pretty effective.

Ive since got a heated screen now though, to do away with the extra pipe work etc.

The top one on the list is what I used. As I said, I found it to be very effective, with the air blowing up in the right places/

I've just fitted the £110 t7 one in my new rally car, it's pretty good really. It doesn't heat the car up anywhere near as much as an oe heater mind but makes the car comfortable in the cold. clears a fogged screen in about 10mins. I had to keep it on for the whole event as it was pretty cold and damp and the fan noise did become fairly tiresome, they ain't quiet!
If you can keep the standard set up I'd strongly consider that otherwise they're an ok option, certainly better than an aftermarket heated screen.

Avoid cheap ebay electric demisters is my best advice. Laugh

I've got a small aftermarket matrix that I plan to utilise when I can be bothered, removing the oe matrix and associated parts saved a few kg but the car is now miserable in the cold and is a bugger if it mists up.
