Hi folks,

Whilst refitting the ICV I have dropped a bolt into the gearbox, I have no idea why theres a hole in the box but its a right pain in the arse.

The bolt is currently sat on top of the flywheel and I'm going to get a magnetic pickup tool tomorrow, however if I knock it down into the box will it be a box out job?

Cheers!

I managed to get a socket in there, thought all was fine until it wedged itself between the flywheel and box.

Don't think the box needed to come out completely

I think it prises apart enough to get it out, I'm not 100% sure though, was a long time ago

I think if I'm going to have to undo all the bellhousing bolts etc I may well just change the clutch whilst I'm at it.

At worst case, i would have thought if you put something under the engine to support it, then loosen the gearbox mount, few bolts that attach the gearbox to the engine/starter. You should be able to prise the gearbox aside enough to get access.
