This is the last thing before engine in.
So here are the 3 cambelt tensioners currently sat in front of me.
1) Old tensioner - old engine
2) Old tensioner - new engine
3) New tensioner.
Now, do I simply pop the new one on (I just cannot remember how the old one was when it came off) and do step 13 in the FAQ?
"13. Turn tensioner anti-clockwise using 8mm sump key. As you tension the belt you will see the cam pulleys rotate anti-clockwise. Keep going until you can twist the belt between inlet and roller by about 75 degrees. If you can twist it more it's too loose, if you can't twist it 45 degrees it's too tight and will cause premature failure of all components."
Do I need to go and buy an 8mm sump key?
or is that big bastid something important and updated?
It's all from the 137tooth kit
