I purchased this limited edition 306 off a Peugeot enthusiast almost 6 years ago, I have loved every moment of owning this vehicle but the time has now come to move on to another project.During my ownership this vehicle has had no expense spared, with all preventive, MOTs, repair and service work being carried out and completed at a Peugeot main agent - invoices and service stamps to prove history. Two keys and key code card present.
It had the all important cambelt replaced on 18/01/2013 at 134,803 miles along with it's tension and retractor roller, water pump, crankshaft pulley, front main crankshaft bearing oil seal, coolant and auxiliary drive belt.
The vehicle's existing MOT expires on 13/06/2015, which it passed with no advisory notes. This vehicle has had 14 services since taking ownership (engine oil and filter change minimum, at each service). The last major service (engine oil and filter change, spark plug replacement, fuel filter replacement, K and N air filter removed and cleaned with filter cleaning oil and an engine coolant change) was completed at 140,000 miles in March this year.
The latest service completed was an engine oil and filter change with a brake fluid change at 141,060 miles in October this year. I have done everything possible to keep this vehicle in perfect working order. I have MOT certificates to back up mileage over the last 9 years. The car is HPI clear, again certificate to prove. Annual mileage has dropped off over the last few years as I have had use of a company vehicle.
During the summer of 2013 I decided to turn this very tidy road car into a fun and enjoyable track car, it's something I wanted to do for a while, and haven't looked back since. I have completed a number of action days and open pit sessions at Castle Combe this summer, with maximum fun had! Obviously looking after the car with before and after engine oil and brake fluid changes (a necessity with track use). I protect the underside of the vehicle with cavity wax oil and underseal protection (especially around the roll cage mounting points).
Turning this road car into a track car required both safety and performance modifications, I have listed all below (no particular order, there's lots to remember!);
MLR stainless steel braided brake hoses front and rear
Mintex front and rear brake pads (front pads 9mm thick, rears pads 5mm thick)
Mintex drilled and grooved front and rear brake discs (no lipping or scoring present)
OMP roll cage (10 point, bolt in)
Bucket seats
Luke seatbelt harnesses
OMP seat frames
Rear bench seat removed
Front and rear door cards removed
Boot and rear carpet removed
OMP steering wheel boss
Sparco steering wheel
Mocal oil cooler kit
Uprated steel gear linkage kit
BBM GroupN engine mount kit
Engine cooling fan modified so the fan runs full speed on low speed activation
Vibra Techinc's front suspension arm "P" bushes
Powerflex rear beam mount tensioning kit
Scorpion rear exhaust silencer and straight through centre pipe
Upper and lower strut braces
K and N induction kit
Front adjustable coilovers
Front and rear shock absorbers to suit
Rear axle lowered to match front, rear axle rebuilt with new parts as required
HID 6000k front lamps, can easily be restored to standard
Phase 3 clear headlamp units
Phase 3 clear side indicator units
Aero flat blade front wipers
Rear wiper removed
Mist type front windscreen washer jets
JVC radio head unit with surround trim
306 Rallye carpet mats
"French" front and rear number plates - standard plates with vehicle also
Black painted Peugeot bonnet lion badge
Sprayed (cherry red) rear interior, not professionally but to a decent standard
Modified front interior door closing handles.
The engine, clutch and gearbox are in perfect working condition, the engine pulls very well through out every gear. The engine and gearbox are allowed to warm naturally before any use.
Standard cyclones are fitted, but have been professionally refurbished and straighten as required and painted in grey by Platinum Alloy Wheel Solution in Swindon.
I decided to run with 195/50/VR15 Toyo Proxes TR1 82V tyres are they seem to work well on the track and on the road. All tyres on the vehicle are legal (7mm remaining at the front and 4mm at the rear). I have four part worn tyres also which can be included in the sale if required.
All four brake calipers are painted in red, to match the car.
The exterior of the car speaks for itself, finished in gleaming cherry read, absolutely no rust what so ever. No accident damage! Both seals and jacking points are straight and true, so many people don't use the correct jacking points and damage the sills!
As with all honest cars of this age there are a few minor marks, it is now almost 15 years old! There are some stone chips on the front bonnet and inner wheel arches. I have of course touched them in as required, please don't be put off by these small things, I am very fussy and believe an honest explanation is better than a wasted listing or journey!
I have advertised this vehicle at £2100 ono. If you have any questions or would like to contact me please either call or text me on 07795 556919 many thanks.
Sam.
