So I bought this

All was good in my head

Put everything in place and it just seemed a little tight on the locating pin.

Wasn't able to do what the piece of paper said - put it on to make sure it sits flush.

Looked at the flywheel that came off and it had circles round the bolt holes so it looked like it was slowly pulled on with the bolts being done nice and evenly. So I did.

Look at the locating pin now No

I think this dent will be OK though.

What do I do now?
a) cry
b] replace locating pin? and carry on
c) chip off the mashed piece of pin and carry on
d) try and make locating pin hole in flywheel bigger (I suspect not a good idea)
e) Start my life again
f) Burn everything

Seriously, I can't tell you how bad that is. However, in my experience things that don't look like they did before normally need attention...

What I can tell you is that Rich's flywheels are a great mod and you will love it when it's all working as it should!

Thanks for giving me some hope lads, it's now sat on quite comfortably. Never been so delicate with a grinder in my life, no chisel could remove the old mashed bit. Might try and stay alive for a day longer.

Question: Can I keep the old flywheel bolts? Or are they a compulsory change?

I've always replaced my flywheel bolts with new when changing flywheel.

I suspected that would be the case, turns out Mr Haynes recommends that too. The bloke at Peugeot said not to worry about my surname any more Roll eyes

Still, that means tomorrow is clear for searching for a torque wrench.
