How does this black plastic piece come off?


(pic showing what the insides of the manifold looked like after pouring a little brake cleaner through - lots of oil and piston chunks LOL )

Undo the 3 10mm bolts and will just press off :-)

Yep 3 10mm bolts its a type of resonator im sure. My manifold has it off and the hole welded up!

apparently it gives slighty more torque....but im not sure how true this is anybody kniow more about it than me???

but tbh I cantg see it making a massive difference,alot easier to get to certain bit tho lol

It smooths out the noise. I believe it is a Helmhotlz type resonator.
