I am about to start a T16 conversion in a 205 and want to use the ML gearbox, But as many will know a plated diff is not available yet. So I am trying to start a group buy for them.
There are already 3 or 4 of us on the 205 Drivers forum and similar numbers from Australia interested.
We already have 2 manufacturers interested in developing/building a limited run if there is enough interest.
So any V6 owners or boosted guys out there that are interested then please let me know so we can get this going.
Once we have a list of interested parties then we can get this moving and get some prices in.

I know you can put Birk down for one of these. He's just being tight and hasn't renewed his membership.

I know someone who might be interested but only if there are readily available dog engagement gearsets available as well,ootherwise he'll be sticking with a drenth gearset in a be casing and hoping they dont break and split the casing in three like it did when 3rd fell apart earlier this year Sad

I could be tempted by one of these. When would you need the money by? Any any idea of rough cost?

Good news just spoken to 3J and they are going ahead with this. It is in the design stage at the moment and will have all the info we need in 7-10 days regarding pricing etc, and they are looking to have completed units for sale by Feb/Mar.

Any news? Is this likely to be around the £600 mark like the 3J BE diff?

If so, count me in!

Is anyone else on here running a V6 or the ML5T or ML6T gearbox?
Do you want/need an LSD?
Can you reply if you are GENUINELY interested in spending £600+ on a quality LSD.

I've rang 3J and here is their current update;

Hi Paul,

The issue we have had is, a massive influx of new projects and the big group buys we had line up for this have not returned our attempts to contact them. So it has slipped down the pecking order.
