Hi guys, my drivers door window mech makes a funny noise when opened/closed, could be dry or simply worn? Are these the same across the 3 door 306 range anyone know? I'll take the card off and have a look some time and try greasing up the mechanism/runners first, but would just like to know if generally available or a bespoke to the Rallye item.

cheers Thumbs up

Think jetting some wd40 in the mech should sort it out. Keep fit windows FTW.

Mine all rattle when the window is up. It drives me mental. Oddly, the rattle stops when the window is down.
I can't understand what's changing as the window is lowered - the amount of cable on the spool in the mechanism appears to stay the same.
I flooded one of them with silicone lubricant, to no effect. I'll try WD40!

Your lifter is probably goosed. New rubber and clip will sort you out.

No point wasting wd40. It's not going to make your rattling window stop moving

Window works ok, it doesn't rattle as such - if anything makes a 'creaky' noise when getting near the top, its just a sad little thing that bugs me a bit.
