Car has one previous owner on the log book, and current owner.
There is an A4 folder full of paperwork with the car including original purchase invoice from VW dealer, as well as brochure with every colour and interior option chosen in it. Every bit of service paperwork and history the car has ever had.
I bought it with the exhaust cam belt slipped which bent 2 exhaust valves. I then checked the valve guides, replaced all exhaust valves an the inlet valves opposing the bent 2 for piece of mind. Also replaced 4 hydraulic lifters and rollers.
Re assembled using genuine parts with new head gasket, head bolts, inlet and exhaust gaskets, 16 new stem seals, INA cam belt kit, New water pump, new coolant, oil and filter change, new aux belt,
Just put 6 months tax on it, full valet and has MOT till 1st October 2015. Only advisories were NSR tyre slightly low and tiny chip in the windscreen.
Engine runs absolutely silently, doesn't use oil or water, drives without fault. Has 2 original remote locking keys both work.
Only thing letting the bodywork down at all is lacquer peel and fading on the door handles which could easily be rectified.
If I could keep swapping insurance I'd be sorely tempted to keep this as it's a lovely smart little car and 125bhp.
