Hi folks

Just had the AA out to view the 306 because its badly over-heating looks like it could be the radiator (leaking) or the Bitron ECU, either way I'm going to have to put it into a garage to get sorted.

I'm covered up to £500 parts and labour for the work through the policy and was wondering if anyone knows a decent garage in the Glasgow area? Dunno

the AA guy said Ecosse in Bo'ness were on the approved list of garages on AA systems although its a bit far away.

Bit random but thought I'd ask Thumbs up

Thanks for reading

Graham Harper at 1103 Argyle Street, just up past Charing Cross. He's a Citroen and Peugeot specialist and I've often taken my cars there. Very honest and reliable, genuine enthusiast of these French cars.

Don't be put off by his 'down a back lane' style garage....these guys are not flash!

Superb thanks for that Alcon - this sound promising just what I was looking for (5 minutes from where I work too).

I will definitely give him a call tomorrow to see what he says. Thumbs up

If its a radiator fitting you're looking for, I think he charged me about £90 to fit my Nissens rad to the 6 (I supplied rad). I would have done it myself but didn't have the time (and couldn't be arsed!!)

Possibly mate the guy at the AA wasn't overly sure on what was required .. although he said there was a leak coming from the radiator which maybe the cause for the over-heating .. I think it might be the bitron unit which has failed (again). Was the Radiator an expensive thing to buy?

You can pick 2nd hand Nissen rads up for about £50-£60. Let me know if you need a replacement Bitron unit btw, I have a working one here for a '6. It's no use to me as I've now got a Rallye with the single rad fan. Also work in Glasgow city centre too!

Just a quick update on this post - took the car over to Ronnie at Graham Harper got the issue sorted within the hour (dodgy relay was the cause) whilst there got him to sort out the brakes and pads, top fella would definitely use again.

Thanks again for the recommendation and advice guys very helpful indeed Thumbs up

Cool good to know. Not far from me. Will use him to do rear suspension if I can't.
