Hi all,

My car has a couple of issues as per the title. It bogs down on part throttle, for about a minute after starting from cold - picks up OK on WOT when cold.
The revs also continue to rise for about 1/2 second after coming off the throttle, this is a constant issue that doesn't change with temp.

I have PP2000 and videoed the sensor readings on a cold start drive to work;

It has a new CTS (motaquip) and new Bosch lambda and I have also tried disconnecting the PAS pressure sensor but this had no effect. Looks to me like the MAP is reading sensible values and the temps sensors are working - I'm wondering if it is TPS related? Trouble is the refresh speed of PP isn't really quick enough for me to see if there's a delay in the readings. Any way to test the TPS?

Potentially the TPS, yes. A malfunctioning TPS (or unplugged one), can make the car run lean, which when the engine is cold is more apparent. They seem to give bad readings at low throttle which makes sense as smaller voltages with the same error = larger percentage error. I have had the exact same problem as you have and also switched the CTS with no change, the TPS seems to have cured it, but it has gotten much warmer since changing it and I haven't been for any early morning drives yet so I can't be 100% that this cured the issue for sure.

In the FAQ section there is a 'testing sensors' thread which gives some instruction on how to test the TPS. The third one down:

The intake air temp sensor is plugged in - it read between 17-23c over the course of the drive in the vid - I think that was about right as it was a few weeks ago now when it actually felt like summer!

I'll have a go at testing the TPS with a multi when I get a chance.

Retro - did you fit a new TPS to your car? If so how much did it set you back? I've looked at Pug and they want ~£150 IIRC which is pretty painful!
