wierd one...

at the weekend there i had a very enthusiastic drive out in car

now when i put my heaters up to "4" is sounds they blowing down the back of my dash?

the 1 to 4 works fine
but it feels like there is a pipe off down back of dashboard?

anyone had this before?

sounds like the ducting at the back of the center dash has moved just get it pulled out and see whats going on Smile

turned out the blower motor wire rope for "closing" the vent was jammed closed and wire rope came off

For anyone else reading this thread + your own info as it might have been the cause:
If you have lots of wiring behind your head unit it can catch on the mechanism which turns the blower on and off/opens the ducts.

turn out the wire rope had came off the blower box
opening my lower glove box i got access to it (rallye being easier with bigger glovebox than gti6, and completely different being non-AC setup)
