Many Threads on this already, but they mostly not firing issues, mines a non-turner.

As it goes, me 6 isn't turning over, I used it to jump start a dirty levin yesterday, it ran fine the afternoon, this morning no turn,no click, nothing when i crank the key round. The reason I bring up the jump starting another car, is it happened last time I jump started the Levin, ran afterward, left over night, wouldn't start next day, took the starter motor off my project 6, was going to put it in on the weekend after, but the thing decided to start all by itself again.

The issue this time is it's half way across town in the sketchy side of town in a 2 hour park, imagine the tickets!! Doh

Tried spare keys, used my 306 n/a diesel to jump/be donor battery, earths look ok but didnt check gearbox one (head, chassis are good(yes head, strange)) double relay good, inertia switch good, fuses good.

Haven't check any sensors, as i wouldn't know/expect any from halting turnover.

I still suspect starter, but it hasn't had issues between or before these two events, and it started working fine by itself.

head scratcher this one.

dodgy earth or positive lead clamp has caused this in my experience.

Most likely starter solenoid packed up try tapping it with a hammer while cranking. Also had this a few times when the s**tty screw on type positive battery terminal on a phase 2 6 isn't making a good enough contact

Ok, I shall head over town with a file, wire brush and a 13 mm spanner once my hands thaw. Anything else i should check while I'm there?

Thing is, it hasn't/doesn't show signs of the actual starter motor having issues between these events, and it has one of those razor sharp aftermarket rads so my arm doesn't want to do that.. LOL
