Author	Subject: Tapper query?
6box Newbie Location: Norwich Registered: 23 Jan 2014 Posts: 41 Status: Offline	Post #1 Has started to make a tapping sound. However the Cambelt was done about half a year ago successfully with no tapping afterwards. I've checked the spark plugs and they are tight. It is a constant tapping regardless of what temp and continues after a good thrash. Any other suggestions?

ryangti6 Seasoned Pro Location: Pontypool Registered: 01 Sep 2006 Posts: 1,839 Status: Offline	Post #5 That doesn't sound healthy but it doesn't sound enough of a knock to be big ends plus if you thrashed it whilst It's been making that noise the bottom end would have s**t itself. I'd guess you've got a dodgy/sticky lifter, whip the cam covers off and turn it over by hand to have a look what's going on. ________________________________________ Ryan
