Probably on here somewhere but I have been unable to find it. I have a black box above the drivers side wheel inside the wing. It appears to have air hose going from it to the throttle body. What is it and can it be removed from the car?

Not sure that I need the flight data recorder! And I have no idea what a pitot tube does on the car.....So does that mean it can be removed without causing a problem? |

It's the charcoal canister. The fuel tank vents into it, with the vapour being fed into the inlet manifold through the brown valve on the outlet hose. Why are you considering removing it? ________________________________________ Rich |

Only reason is that after every event I have to strip the wing in order to clean all the mud etc from around it. Wondered if it could be removed or perhaps relocated. |

Thanks, Do I just link out the existing pipework so it still terminates in the manifold? |

That leads me to the next question. Apart from the OEM Liners has anyone found a good alternative? I keep punching holes in the OEM ones. |
