If a coil pack has failed it will be running on 3 often, Ie; Horrid. Any idea if it is or not?Start engine with each coil pack removed in turn. When the engine doesn't run any different, you've found the culprit Otherwise it could be, ICV, MAP, probably some other stuff i cant remember, but others will. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

A very simple 5-minute thing to try before spending any money might be battery terminals having a poor connection, loose connectors or crap all over them can cause all sorts of issues.Clean them up and refit them tightly. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

If its the STOP light, could be the bitron (spelling? ) located in the wheel arch. Vague memories of that being mentioned before. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

Sounds like coil pack? Simple way to check is unplug each injector in turn if one makes no difference to poor idle then that coil is fvcked |

Ya its the stop light Ive just been out and the revs are bouncing like mad have to rev it when Im stood still to keep it from dying and when I stopped I lifted the bonnet and both fans where on full blast, the engine was red hot but the temp gauge was reading normal running temp ________________________________________ good to go!! |

It could just be the ICV. I had a gunked up ICV that caused the stop light, poor idling and stalling. The headlights may just be the car being close to stalling. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

It is next to it in a plastic casing with its own air feed that branches off of the main induction pipe.http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=20477 ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |
