Have 330 Ashs brakes & have to run 17" tyres ..
Have Toyo TIRs 205/40/17 at mo ..fit great !!!!!!
Been told Dunlop DZO3Gs are the best so say ..track tyre.. ?????
Don't use car as daily .
Going to do 3 Coombe track days this year 2 booked.
And pos Up the hill at Pug fest .

Dunlops are only available closest 215/45/17 ....sadly best price £160each ...would they fit CAR without probs ?
The front shock springs are a way abit & 1.5 inch to outer arch & also have a fair gap at the back to arch inner & 1.5inchs to rear arch outer

I'm using CompMo5s proper fit no spacers as well
Cars dropped 30 around & new Jord rear axle & Bilsteins & Eibachs
Anybody had these or come across this ....????

Standard Volvo estate size tyre. Going to look huge on a 306 although the Dunlops are very good

about 5mm taller radius than a 40 profile, 215 might give outer arch issues.

Wouldn't run wider than 205's to be honest on a 306 as they will catch the arches they will also be heavier which isn't ideal on a track car, may also spoil the handling and feel of the car. There's plenty of track day tyres available in 205/40/17 like R888, R1r, Yokohama do tonnes, maxxis do several, I've actually read good reviews on Nangkang track day tyres for the price they are.

I run Michelin PS3's in 205/40/17 an their the best tyres wet or dry I've ever had but their meant for road use. I get them in for £104 each inc vat at work through Stapletons

Yup I saw a German company on eBay offering them at that price and was tempted but saw a few feedbacks saying stuff never turned up but other people very happy. Decided I'd rather pay the extra £14 and know it will arrive 10am the next day without fail.

Were meant to sell them out at £125ish fitted so £90 is a bargain

Tyre temps going too high if you are doing 16 laps? I always find it fairly hard on tyres, especially the front nearside. It is probably my driving style though LOL

Most i've ever done was 17 laps in the volvo but it was chucking it down and about 12 degrees. Didn't get hot at all. I find my brakes go after 7 laps in the 306 so keep it to about that many in one go. Pads are only DS2500s on standard calipers

Got Ashs 330 brakes with cerametallic brake pads & goodridge pipes & 5.1 fluid ....so that never happened Thumbs up
Ran out of fuel though Thumbs down

Just put Tarox drilled & slotted on back & ds2500 with Hel hoses ....total overkill ....I'm sounding sad ...looks amazing though LOL

What a Difference a day can make ...
Just ordered to go on my new Pr1.2x 16s

4 x 205x50x16 Dunlop DZO3G track tyres from Mr Tyre
01215512131 they are the wholesaler for UK on these !!
Cost each £105.00 ...=50.00 each cheaper than 888 & so say much better side wall & wear rate ?
do take longer to warm up but better for more laps nonstop !

Also for Info to those of you with 15s
195/50/15 are £95.00 each
Bargain for quality track & just road legal tyres !

Don't forget Vat + £15 total delivery for 1or4 tyres ...better to buy more Thumbs up

Hope this helps some people ....

PS checked it does fit & is 15mm taller than my 17s now =7.5mm all round nothing really ...
I have plenty of room back & loads at front ..lol

So say Best semi tread ....road legal tyre for Track about ???

PS ...Big Thanks to Welshpug you were correct 215 to wide Thumbs up

Guy in work loves them on his M3. I'm tempted but don't get such a good rate on them as the 888s in 15s.

Would love some P3s !!!!

They used PE2's Chris similar tyre but been replaced by PS3's.

T1R's aren't too clever in the wet either lol and not on track yet however compared to the paradas I had on there before they changed my supercharged 6 from being undrivable and scary in the wet to still seriously grippy and fun in the wet.

Their designed for handling deep puddles and standing water without aqua-planing and they really do grip in the wet as well as dry. Not cheap though.

My tame standard 6 engine would be amazing on them in the wet then Thumbs up
I can get good staff discount off Mich tyres from Costco from my cousin....maybe sell the New TIRs & get P3s fitted to spare 17s ....then I got all weather covered apart from Snow LOL
