Probably being thick but servicebox is really frustrating me!
I want to find the part number for an indicator stalk for my sisters 206, have searched through all the categories and can't find it listed, Anyone know what section it will be under or what its official name would be?!

Cheers

Equipment - Lighting & signalling - Controls under the steering wheel

Depending on the age of her car, it will be part of the com2000 unit which isn't cheap to replace!

chassis number is no use, you need the VIN.

If its 2002 then its a com2000 unit. Let me guess, the indicators randomly cancel or come on or don't cancel at the right point after corners? Any other issues like wipers sticking on or auto lights not working?

6239Q3 - £178.19

The first numbers you gave us are just a random unique identifier. The letters at the beginning denote things like model, where its made, body type, fuel time, gearbox etc

No auto lights, but yes don't cancel after turning, stalk doesn't it feel like its 'clicks in' if you know what I mean.

Last one I changed was on a 2000 W reg one which could be bought separately!

Yeah 2001 onwards they were full MUX and the stalk unit is the controller for the dash. They generally fail causing all sorts of weird and wonderful issues. My girlfriends one emptied a entire bottle of screen wash after it randomly got stuck on and the lights used to flash lol

Thanks for your help mate, doubt she will be up for changing that though at that price! Worth looking at a secondhand one do you think or am I likely to be getting the same sort of issue?!

Don't bother with second hand. Its a common problem with these.

I got the one for my missus car from here
http://www.peugeotpartsforsale.com/206/com-2000-units-30

Email them with that part number i gave you and he will give you the option of brand new or refurb. Think we paid 200 for a brand new one but her car has every toy on it going for the 206 so yours will be less.

That's great. Thanks mate.
Will have a word with her and see if she finds it annoying enough to spend £180 on!

It will get worse believe me and other things will eventually go wrong. The new ones are very fault free generally and don't suffer the same problems as the original ones. I would advise saving a bit and doing it sooner rather than later Thumbs up
