Hi all can you see these when fitted and what do you remove to see it and any pics would help thanks .

Can remove the cover from the diff on the back/underside of gearbox.

Is the gearbox on or off the car?

If you're just checking that it's got one fitted you can pull a shaft out and look down the hole Wink

If you remove though then yes... cleaned, sealed and torqued. The speedo drive may want a new o-ring fitting too as they usually go hard and flat.

Where the bearing is in the picture, you can see what looks a bit like rifling (grooves machined into the internal bore where the drive shaft goes.) that's all you'll be able to see (I can't remember looking to see if they are there on a standard diff though Unsure. )

I see the grooves and what pins? Anybody got pics of standard diff where diveshafts sit I am thinking it has one jus wanted to be double sure for when it possible goes for sale

Gasket or just sealer needed ?

sealer, there isn't a gasket!

Final drive half housing bolts, M10; 41Nm 30lbft
Final drive half housing bolts, M7; 12Nm 9lbft.
Speedometer pinion adaptor; 12Nm 9lbft
Final drive extention housing bolts ; 15nm 11lbft
