Just wanting a second opinion here! Was driving along yesterday when the temperature began steadily climbing higher. After about 20mins, it was going north of 110. Knocked her off at that point.

Fans working 100%. No obvious leaks. Plenty of coolant in rad. Radiator was cold to the touch when the temp was 110. Interior fan still blowing hot air OK. Am thinking the stat?

It could be, but it's odd that an air lock would just suddenly appear from nowhere.
