Hi guys,I am selling my 306 GTi-6 which I have had for a bit over a year. I originally intended on doing a fix up job on it to make it a nice road car but there is more to be done than I have the patience or money for. The car is probably suitable for someone who wants to build a track car or for spares. There is a fair amount of good spares on this as listed below.
Since Feb 2013 I have done the following...
New front and year shocks (Standard OEM replacement)
New front springs (Standard ride height)
Refurbished rear beam (Built by CG Cars, assembled by myself)
New rear beam mounts
New rear wheel bearings
New front left wheel bearing
New bottom engine mount (the really annoying one)
New front right lower wishbone rubbers
New front right droplink
New lower wishbone ball joints
Rebuilt starter motor
4 new Uniroyal rainsport 2 tyres (195/45R15's)
New rear brake bias valve
New rear calipers
New rear brake pads
New hard brake lines rear of the fuel tank
New auxiliary belt
New exhaust clamps
I believe I still have receipts for the major components.
Gearbox oil replaced August 2013
General service done November 2013
Parcel shelf is in perfect condition if you want to put new speakers in the back.
Now the bad points...
Bodywork is rough see the pictures
Braking above 60mph gives a pretty bad vibration
Electrical faults:
- Heater fan is intermittent
- Heater control panel isn't really working
- Radio doesn't get reception due to the lack of an aerial...
Cambelt history unknown
Bit of an oil leak (I have taken the inlet manifold off to inspect, it appears to be coming from a couple of inches below the cylinder head)
Could do with new rear brake discs
Brake feel isn't fantastic but it stops
Drivers seat is a bit squeaky
Rear window still has a bit of glue from the old tints, I am trying to get it off.
It runs and pulls nicely still. I do about 250 miles a week still and it gets me where I need to go and hasn't had any major issues since I replaced the starter motor in September 2013. Clearly I could get more money for it by breaking the car but I don't have the time or the tools to get the most out of it so this could be your opportunity for a small money maker or a complete car worth of spares to make sure you keep your 306 going.
The log book is present, MOT 29th May 2014, Tax 30th June 2014.
I have tried to give as much information as possible so I hope it makes the process as simple as possible.
Sorry learning to add photos.
Cheers,
Sean
