I did a compretion test on my gti6 a few
Weeks ago came up with these results
49psi
53 psi
60psi
55psi
Got a little worried did a leak down test and bumped my reading right up around 100psi think is still poor but better
Out came the engine and Off came the head I've not seen many worn bores or rings before too know for sure if there knackerd but
There are some nice score mark up going up the bores
Compared too my other engine block were u can still see the honeing marks ill get some pictures see what ya think

100psi?! you are aiming for about 160-180 imo

see the vertical lines, that's shot IMO, you can see the gap down the side of the piston!

only way to save it is a rebore and new o.s pistons.

Yes there is a lot ov piston slap.would u say the first picture ov my spare block looks ok too use dosent seem too be any vertical score marks

I had 195,195,205,195 on my 130k+ engine not long before I killed it. As Welshie says, it's due a tenors and some new pistons or more economical probably to do a complete engine swap with a known good engine.

EDIT: the forum spelling police inform me it's a compression test by the way Thumbs up
