As above as got a HDi battery in the shed and a fooked battery on the missus XSi

Id imagine that the ratings would be different being a diesel it should be a more powerful battery for the diesel more cold cranking amps and a higher rated battery. Double check first.

i wast just thinking that because i know the hdi starter is a decent upgrade. still. i'd probably try it and just see how it goes. if the car bursts into flames it probably wasn't the right battery. and you'll need to buy a new xsi

Also would the battery fit in the battery box of the XSi?

my HDI battery is the same size as the 6 battery. and the 6 battery is no different to the XSi one. tbh you'll find it's probably fine to use as it is
