My cars almost ready to be put back on all 4's and its first outing.

But before that I would like to book it in for a full track day setup, can anyone recommend a place that would setup my GTi6?

Cheers

What have you done at your car exactly? you can only adjust the tracking and rear ride height on a standard car.

In that case you can set the front ride height too. In theory you could go a get it corner waited but in reality for the money it won't really be worth it.

I'd set a sensible lowered ride height with a bit of rake (nose down) and set your tracking to parallel and see how it goes.
If your on standard bars at the rear your front spring rate will probably be to high, springs supplied with coilovers kits generally are.

Yeah the bars are standard at the back, just wanted to see how it went first before I started messing about with it to much, and also im trying to keep costs down as well.

What do you suggest?

Standard springs are around 140lb so you don't wanna be going for much over 250lb. I don't think you'll be able to use 140lb coilovers springs as I would think you'll not get a long enough spring in at a sensible ride height. For serious track work you really need to up your spring rates.
Have you got adjustable too mounts?

not at the moment, but I will be ordering them possibly next month, along with some richw roller bearing wishbone bushes

How do I find out the spring rate of my current springs?

There also the inevitability of me changing the bars as well, but wanted to drive it as is really so when improvements are made you can actually notice them

KW's are about 285-300, annoyingly they are cagey about their spring rates, only the length and diameter are printed on them.

You can work it out by measuring the length, diameter and wire diameter. Easiest way is on scales though Wink
