either the gauge is reading wrong, or someone has fitted a lower tep fan thermoswitch.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Just searched and think the gauge takes its reading from the blue sensor on the thermostat housing? |

Gauge takes it's reading from the blue sensor in the thermostat housing, the fan is controlled by the blue sensor in the top of the rad, just by the top hose outlet. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Has anyone got a part number for the sensor in the radiator? Going to go to peugeot tomorrow to get a few bits and I always find it easier with the part numbers!Think 1338 09 is the number for the sensor in the stat housing? |

Was faffing about a bit with the Rallye earlier, fitted a new exhaust etc then set about the cooling system, I first bled the system again, fans still cutting in at 90 degrees.Went to change the blue sensor in the stat housing but the that is fitted has 2 pins and the replacement I got from Peugeot only has one so would assume its the wrong one? Removed the sensor in the radiator and it had a red band around it, the replacement (again from Peugeot) had a yellow band, now I assume the different colour bands indicate different temperatures? Anyone know what colour means what?! Bled the system again and was in the process of letting it get upto temperature then got called out to work so had to leave it, it got to just over 90 degrees with no fan cutting in so guess i'm going in the right direction!! |

The temps are stamped into the flat part of switch you put your spanner on, or on the end of switch that sits in rad ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |
