Evening all - apologies if this has been asked before but I am on my phone and it aint very good for searching..

Driving along today and had a few people flashing me and pulling me over....Turns out my reverse lights are staying on whilst I am driving.

Is this just a case of pulling the reverse switch out and re-connecting it? If so is it easily identifiable so I know which switch it is?

Cheers,
Hayden.

Yep, it'll be your reverse sensor on the gearbox. Re-connecting it might cure it, but a new one is probably required.

Bit fiddly to reach, but from memory, its towards the rad side of the box. Should be fairly obvious when looking at it.

Yep - white switch on the front of the gearbox, it will have gone permanent closed circuit.

You'll need a new one, about 15 mins or so to change.

cool I'll get in touch with peugeot see if I can get one. I need some caliper slides and bolts anyways which are dealer only parts so might as well try and get them all.

make sure you can get the thing out, it's quite a big deep socket required from memory or some good grips

clicky - it's the plug in the photo (5 speed box in the photo but same location)

cool cool ill probs take it to the garage that did my clutch first in case they've done something when putting it back in. Plus they should then have the tools to fit a new one if needed.

ignore that just found the fuse box diagram and it looks like the fuse that runs the reverse switch is also for the brake light switch as well as other things haha.

Might just remove my bulbs for now.

or just try unplugging the switch, it's surely faster than taking the back lense off the light?! LOL
