Hi guys, a bit different to Retropug's post below in that mine doesn't work at all Its not worked at all since i've had the car tbh, thought it may have been the clock/s itself. But just fitted a replacement set of white needle type clocks and still no rev counter, any ideas guys please? Also the white needle sets clear cover had a crack in it, whilst my original orange set didn't, so i thought i'd swap them over, but i've only gone and bloody cracked the new one so i need another if anyone has a spare please - just off to the wanted section.Cheers. ________________________________________ Bianca 306 Rallye.Mondeo Titanium X. |

Check the loom that runs along the bottom of the rad, unplug and clean up the plugs that plug into the chassis near the end of this loom on the passenger side near the airbox for a couple of ideas to start off with.________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Hate to bump this one back up to the top, but did the OP ever find a solution? I've got the same problem on mine at the moment - ECU reset & new fuel pump relay (tried changing this on a hunch, but no difference) haven't cured the problem. I'm going to try RetroPug's idea at the weekend, but I'm curious if this fixed the problem or not.________________________________________ 2000 W Phase 3 Moonstone. |

CJWatson27 - do you mean unplugging the clocks, or the loom plug in the engine bay? Forgive my stupidity!________________________________________ 2000 W Phase 3 Moonstone. |

I had the same problem years ago and took the clocks out. Everything looked like new so not much chance of any wiring failures behind there. ________________________________________ DIABLO GTI-6 - Legend - NILE GTI-6 - SoldCHERRY GTI-6 P1 SUPERCHARGED - Broken up BLACK RALLYE - Sold 205 Dturbo xud9 work horse - Dead CHERRY RALLYE - new toy |

I'd try both...the plugs at the back of the instrument cluter have been known to come a bit loose. The loom at the bottom of the radiator needs the plug checking, but can also get a small amount of damage and then have corroded or broken wires in it. Is anything else not working properly? Do the rest of the instruments work? Including oil temp etc.? Does remote central locking work? ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

RetroPug - yep, all other dials work (including oil temperature) and RCL works. I'll check the loom and cluster connectors at the weekend. You gotta love French electrics! ________________________________________ 2000 W Phase 3 Moonstone. |

Hmm ok. The RCL is also carried by the loom near the rad and if that loom is damaged that often goes as well, hence my asking.________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Wow can't believe its over 12 months since i started this thread Well my rev counter worked today for the first time since i got the car Basically stripped the car down over the last few days ready for painting, which included front bumper removal thus letting us have access to those electrical plugs. Fair play guys, it was a broken red wire that was causing the the problem, wired fixed = working rev counter. ________________________________________ Bianca 306 Rallye.Mondeo Titanium X. |

I've yet to fix mine, been too busy. I do have a fully-working loom waiting to be swapped on though. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |
