Hi all this is not a gti but there all the same in some light (306) . I have a strange wobble / vibration when pulling off. I feel it in my pedals and the gear stick gos mad! Shacking up and down.

This happens only in low rpm in any gear! Its getting to the strange where I feel I must not drive the car! Ive been told to look at the mounts, but I feel its more drive shaft related? Can anyone shed a light on this problem?

More than likely a driveshaft, probably the o/s intermediate bearing.

Had similar on a few 306 DT's driving gently was fine when you put it under load say up a hill the whole car would shake through the front end. Was the inner driveshaft joint causing the problem. If yours is only pulling away will be clutch judder if it's at a certain speed in all gears when moving will be shaft related I would think.

Does sound like you have clutch judder. When my intermediate bearing had gone it was fine low down and slow but shook the f**k out of the car when flat out!!

are the driveshaft gaiters ok? Saying that you wouldn't notice a tiny hole but look to see if you have grease all over the place around where the gaiters are?

Diff bearing would be noisy in all gears depending on the vehicle speed. I have a set of 61k driveshafts from my hdi estate at work. Not sure if they are the same as 6 ones or not....
