Looking to fit my R5 alloy rad in the next week or so. Most header tanks I have found on ebay ect... only seem to have 2 outlets, a larger 18mm outlet at the bottom and a smaller 10mm return at the top with an overflow in the filler neck. Is that all that is needed on the header as I have a 106 diesel header what has 1x 18mm outlet and 2x 10mm outlets.

Am I right in thinking the 18mm outlets should go to the bottom rad pipe into the back of the engine and the smaller 10mm inlet goes to the top of the rad?

Got any pics of your setup?

My header only has 2 outlets. The third is the self bleed normally and will return to the top of the rad. It isn't actually required providing you bleed the system proper. This is how my setup is.

Its on a 6 engine yeah?!

Ah so the 3rd one isnt needed? I just wasnt sure weather you had to run a sel bleed with a header tank or weather you could just bleed it as normal.
Ash I have your old R5 alloy rad Thumbs up

Yeah that rad. Where did your 2 pipes from the header go? Is it the larger one to the bottom water pipe from the rad to the back of the block then the 2nd smaller pipe to the thermostat housing?

Went and bought the billet push adapter for standard plastic take off. Spoke to spoox and got it a little cheaper than lifted so cant complain about that to be honest. Didnt want to be spending £70+ on a conversion...
