Just out of interest - what was so funny that made a few people LOL when this was first posted?

Any previous members owned this car and got anything useful to say about it?

I'm coming over from Ireland at some point to buy a Rallye and obviously want to get a good one.

Cheers

Ita because I don't keep my cars for very long. I have owned this car twice now and it's had a fair bit spent to get it to how it is now.

I was thinking of just taking it off the road until Summer if it doesn't sell this week.

I was going to ask the same question - are Rallyes going up in price? Possibly a little bit but I think it can be said the good ones have stopped depreciating. I got mine for £1700 in early 2011 which was close to the cheapest I'd seen in the UK at the time as asking prices were then around £2K, but within a few months asking prices were a good 20% - 25% below that. Now a clean Rallye seems to be back up around there. None of this takes account of any work that needs doing though.

There have been a few in Pistonheads and on ebay going for well over 2k with higher miles, less history, no actual proof of cambelt and not as much work done.

A lot of people are purely focussed on the price, rather than what has been done to the car to keep it fresh and future bills to a minimum.

It will be gone by the weekend as I've at last had two chaps dead keen on it. I find it hard to have patience for people haggling when they haven't seen the car. It's EXACLY as described so really needs to be seen.
