Morning everyone

I drove the car yesterday morning and it was fine, came to use it late last night and nothing it wouldn't even unlock. I got
Into the car and expecting it to be a flat battery i took that off and put it on charge over night. I've now put the battery back on this morning and I still have the same problem car won't unlock or lock. I've tried turning the car over and it cranks no problem and primes the fuel pump but just won't kick into life. I don't know if this is relevent but when I did try to start the car I noticed that both the clock and the odometer screens are not displaying anything they are just back lite orange when nothing on them.

Any help would be awesome.

Says 12v or 12.45v when on the floor not connected to the car. I was thinking maybe the earth from
Battery to body work could have gone faulty the smaller earth lead?

This is 100% a fuse. Yes

I'm not sure which one, but I believe it's a 5A rated one. Check them all in the cabin (below steering column) you will find one blown. If you check them by eye and they all *look* ok, then electrically test them as it will be one of these for sure. Smile

Ok so for anyone reading this with the same problems. I found the final problem to be with the alarm siren. All I did to sort the problem was disconnect the siren and take it out and tape the connector up. I plan to source a new siren or a replacement part but for now it's out the way and the car runs.

Thanks to everyone for the help and pointing me in the right direction

Source a siren from a 106/saxo or an early 206, they are under the bonnet in these cars so are always in better condition.
