They seem cheap enough for a decent brand.

Has anyone had any experience with Febi Bilstein engine and gearbox mounts? They seem cheap enough for a decent brand. ________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

Well since this forum is buzzing and I couldn't decide which reply to believe I ordered them anyway. Only £32 for the top mount and the gearbox mount so if the are terrible I'll get OE mounts. ________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

If you don't like them, try Skip Brown's Group N mounts instead.I have these and it makes a massive difference, and there is no vibration in the cabin provided you don't touch the lower rear mount. However, Febi are a respectable brand so you shouldn't go far wrong. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Not done them yet, way too cold and my 205 is on stands in the garage so it will have to wait until it warms up slightly.________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

Well it got up to a balmy 4 degrees today so I thought I'd tackle these, I've never done a top mount before so was kind of dreading the job and what I might find beneath the mount. Only took me around 30 minutes start to finish and the cradle has been repaired previously so all good, it actually took me longer to repair the fuel hose that started leaking as soon as I breathed on it.As for the mounts, they feel good, a lot better than before anyway, didn't bother chocking the top mount as its only my daily road car. ________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |
