Hello
I am in process of selecting new summer tyres for track usage. My 6 is almost stock and I am looking for size 195/50/15. I have found in local dealer Bridgestone Potenza RE002 with treadwear index 220 on very attractive price.

So my question is does anybody have experience with these tires?
How is the grip in corners? How they behave on hard braking and so on...

I have been using mostly toyo t1-r and hankook ventus v12 evo. I would like to hear if re002 are better or not Smile

Thanks in advance.

They will be better that than the other two as I know they are meant to be pretty decent tyres, Thing that put me off was supposed wear rates being a bit of the fast side.
I'm probably going for AD08s for road, maybe you should look at A048's? Or federal RSRs if you can get them

I forgot to mention that for the events I am participating in, we have a limit of minimal treadwear 151. Federal RSRs are treadwear 140 - so i could not use them.
AD08 is 180 but are way too expensive for me.

what about something like Uniroyal rs3's? Cheap, and probably better than both the other tyres you used previously

I have just fitted a set of Uniroyal RS3's, i have to say the wet grip is very very good as is the dry, i previously had RS2's which were also good but i found the side walls to be a bit on the soft side however the 3's are a fair bit stiffer, i can't recommend these enough, plus i got a set of 4 for £162
