I need to re-wire the drivers door on my Rallye as the wires have all started to break. I'm pretty sure the pug repair loom is going to be a bit pricey for my requirements so I was wondering about the loom from either a passenger side door or a rear door from a scrap car - on the basis that these will have been opened/closed less and should have more life left in them.

Anyone know if they are all the same plug/wiring? I know when I fitted a repair loom out of a scrap 306 into my g/fs Ph1 106 I had to run extra wires through to beef up some of the connections. IIRC the pin for the electric window earth on the 106 went to what looked like a central locking wire on the repair 306 connector so I know they at least varied the wiring between models!

Someone's already had a go at mine though - the rubber sheath has some black plastic cable tied round it - god knows what's underneath! I thought it would be best to do a full swap hence the question

Rear door ones are different and passenger door wouldn't work. Wiring is different.
Repair loom from pug is £80 iirc and is a revised design so shouldn't ever cause a problem again in your ownership of the car!

I've checked the part # on servicebox and the retail inc. VAT is £115. £80 I could cope with but £115 is taking the pi$$ for what it is. I'll ask my stealer what the best they can do is but I'm not expecting them to say £80.
