For sale is my phase 1 gti-6 in rare Sigma Blue.

The time has finally come to sell my Gti-6. I bought the car in January 2006 from a lady owner with 65000 miles on the clock and have owned it for the last 8 years.

The Car has only had 3 previous owners and comes with 10 moths MOT and 4 months tax. The cam belt was changed around 75000 miles. The car covered 26500 miles in those 8 years, as I only used it for short commutes and the odd long trip.

The car has only covered 91500 miles. I've found it hard to find other phase 1 Gti-6's with similar mileage.

The car having lowered suspension and wide low profile tyres, also makes it noticeably more stable in high winds.

The car pulls great and is mechanically strong throughout. The gearbox also works as it should and the car is in great condition for it's age. When the cam belt was changed at 75000 miles, the engine started tapping. More than likely due to a slightly bent valve, but doesn't affect the running of the car in anyway.

The car comes with full service history from new and a wallet full of receipts. The car has full Peugeot service history up to 60698 miles and was serviced after locally by trusted garages, who are personal friends.

The body work is in excellent condition. There is the odd mark and a few bits where the paint has flaked off around the wheel arches, but I am hoping to have this rectified before selling the car.

Good points:

The interior is in great condition. This car does not have the common problem of the driver's seat bolster upholstery having rips in it and is a testament to how well this car has been cared for and looked after over the years. It does however have signs of wear on it from over the years. The seats are in the combination of half leather/half alcantara.

Being part of the 306 GTi-6 owners club I've worked hard to maintain the great condition of the car, rather than abusing it!

However, the car can be easily put back to standard specification if desired. The car will also be supplied with the standard exhaust if the Magnex exhaust is too loud.

Bad points:

A few small stone chips on the front of the bonnet
Small scratch on rear seat leather.
Interior clock display slightly faded, but still visible.
Passenger electric window switch is temperamental. Drivers passenger control switch works fine however.
The door cards on the passenger side are a little loose.
One of the driver's side rear alloy wheel spoke's has a mark on it where it was hit by a rock in the road.
Fan heater isn't fully blowing onto windscreen.

The car has been completely reliable and passed it's recent MOT with 1 advisory that the handbrake may need tightening.

This is a rare opportunity to buy a well looked after Phase 1 GTi-6 that is in great condition.

I'm not breaking the car, as it is in good working order and would be a waste given how hard it is to find reliably working Phase 1 GTi-6.

The car would also make a great base for a track car being the lightest and quickest GTi-6.

A great example of a rare classic Peugeot GTi that still out classes modern hatchbacks and will be sadly missed after 8 years of ownership.

I really think you need to have a look at the cars in the for sale section and adjust your price mate.

Just a friendly bit of advice but i agree with this. Juicy small hatches are not too popular at the moment so you will need to adjust your price if you want to sell it this side of 2015.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm lowering my asking price to offers over £1500.

The car is more than likely going to be part-exchanged next weekend and I've been offered £1500 as a part ex price.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to own a Phase 1 GTi-6 in excellent condition with only 91500 miles on the clock and still pulling strong.

If you've been offered £1500 part exchange I'd bite their hand off. In it's current state I think you would be lucky to see anything over £600.
