Hi guys guess who's back in a 306 Love

even better its a 6 and astor,my brief was just to find a cheap 6/rallye and track it,but this came up and just had to have it,quite fancied a decent coloured one.

So atm I have paid a sizeable chuck of deposit and will be getting the car within the next 2 weeks. The pictures are from sale thread and previous add(car done 5k between owners)

The car unfortunately has Hg failure, not like I'm not used to that LOL
but all smiles as my new engine is being picked up(literally by myself and Rich) Thursday. Its has had compression test, leak down and cambelt done.

So that s going in after a good steam clean of the engine bay and lick of paint for the block and cylinder head.As my last project got abit mental this will definitely not (he says)so either going full track cage, buckets and harness s or go oe+ look but still do plenty of trackdays just less of a brutal look.I'm going see how nice the interior is yet though is a major ball ache and lots of flashing dash lights if I do.

Here s a list of the spec so far:
rich w roller bearing
miles solid rear beam mounts
miles gear linkages
ash s hybrid anti roll bar
omp strut brace
k&n induction kit
stainless steel braided lines
nissens rad
heko wind deflectors
black masks
rich w flywheel
rich w pulley
bm lower mount
lowered on eibachs springs
So they's a far bit not included new clutch, cable, new driveshafts!!

Jamma time LOL
(from 2 adds but looks the same, plates are different as it currently on a private one atm)

should get the car within the next week or so more update then Smile

With all those nice suspension bits on it, and the ones you have bought to fit to, it would be rude to not gut the insides and fit the cage and buckets.

Doooooo eeeeeetttt!

So started cleaning the engine up as we waiting for the car to arrive.Polished the cover up still got to the cylinder head properly though.

Pictures when we got to note the car, desperately needs a clean but all the panels seem straight and can't fit anything majority wrong which is great for a car I've never seen before today.interior was not the best but they very easy to get hold of,have some plans for some recaro recliners out of the evo 6late type R's.

Feels good to be sitting in forward of this Big grin

Weird badge probably keep it.....
.

Have a few issue-rusty top mount so suspension but my kw's will be replacing them with nearly new topmounts.

Oh and its missing half a engine, block looks pretty f**ked as well

Wheels look like they've been refurbed though

Nice pile of bits for Carl to get on with Big grin

Even caked in crap I still managed to find the Astor 'sparkle' Love
