Your not being stupid they don't have one only the 110bhp ones have a map sensor.

Why you looking for it anyway? Their map is based on MAF sensor and TPS etc

Mine was slow as fuuuuuck when I first got it, the Cat was blocked up it went sooooo much better with a decat. Also the cam belt timing was a tooth out as well! Lucky it ran at all to be honest.

Some just don't go very well and others fly even as standard in comparison. I've had all the ones I've owned remapped stage 1. If you've got the very late type with a 3 plug ECU then I've got a stage one mapped ECU I'll be selling shortly.

What are you using to read the car? Most code readers don't pick up half the codes they put up. Pug planet or Actia machines do.

un plug the maf sensor and see if it drives different
the maf's on the hdi are quite sensative and do pack up making the car flat

if it drives better its quite likely the maf sensor is fubared
dont replace it with a cheap copy use a good branded one

I found a fuel filter and new maf transformed my 90bhp xsara! Smile

It had an aftermarket item fitted before, which was just 2 resistors! Now has a genuine peugeot item fitted from a 406, and the car has performed faultlessly past 10k miles!

Good old Barry.

I owned him from 215k and sold him to John at 224K IIRC. Loved that car.

Funny you should post a picture of it sat next to a container, that was the nickname it took from my work mates Farmer

Good car, only thing that it ever let me down on was when it shat its clutch all over the A4

LOL

230k on the original clutch isn't to be sniffed at though!

ECU mapped about £60 or something but it won't fit yours it's the latest type they did with a 3 plug ecu yours will be a single plug unit.
I can get map files for £75 and put them on a car with my mates laptop though.
